interchangable batteries?

    Yes, but the modules have to move on to the gen3 rack and you'd be downgrading in the lifespan of them if they are from a gen2 vehicle rather than purchased as replacement more recently...

    Actually, it's a Gen 3, I'm stupid! I was lost in thought on something else. Thanks though. I appreciate the timely response.

    As you own a gen 2 Prius I’m guessing your question is can I put Gen 3 battery’s in my gen 2?

    My brain just exploded....

    Gen 2 and 3 HV Battery modules are effectively identical to each other and are completely interchangeable.

    The modules are identical but the bus bar holders, voltage sensors, chassis, the rack and the end caps are different, even if only slightly, so you can swap the modules themselves, but everything else will need to be modified or swapped out.
