There are so many gauges/screens I've been in gauge overload for 2 years.
I only started recording monitor 2 consistently a couple weeks ago.
    Anyways here's a randomly picked pic from 5 Aug 2019 20190805_015506_monitor2.jpg

I know what you mean. No other cars I have ever owned, including several hybrids, offered that many gauges/screens as PRIME. For the last two years I have been transcribing most of data from those gauges and screens into spreadsheets. I am on 11th sheet already. LOL

For me the learning curve for the 2014 PIP was fairly high. Although after 2 years I think I understood most if not all the screens I'd looked at. Perhaps about 90% of the available screens, I'm sure I didn't look at all of them. When we got the Prime I thought I would have an advantage in understanding the car coming from the PIP. Full Stop. Two years later I'm still looking cross eyed at some of them.
And that is just the ones that I know where they are and how to find them.....

I've been playing with artificially increasing miles/kWh value under EV mode to see it's effect on GOM and other parameters. By using EV/HV switches you can keep the car in EV mode only while coasting. You can keep this practice on any given day to achieve max miles/kWh of 99.9 miles/kWh for that day. Of course, if you do this, you will be using unnecessary gas under HV mode, so the fuel efficiency diminishes.

After playing with 99.9 miles/kWh for a few days, my conclusion is that it has no effect what so ever on GOM range. Having 99.9 miles/kWh on your daily record will not increase or decrease your GOM. It stays essentially unchanged. The car basically thinks you have not done any EV drive which is in fact true under those conditions. One interesting consequence of doing this is that depending on the use of AC, the AC load ratio will either be 0% or 100%. Either 0% or 100%, it still had no effect on GOM.

The thing that bothers me about the AC load ratio is in the morning on the way to work I turn the fan on low without the AC selected, yet it still shows the AC load with a value .

Maybe there’s a couple opportunities with this screen or feedback report:whistle:?

But it doesn’t change the fact that a bit of air in the cabin is nice to have and doesn’t change the GOM:).

I get ~ 31 miles at ~65 mph (some stop and go buy not as much at 5 AM) on the freeway, so I’ll take it(y).

AFAIK, having AC on (no matter what setting) will have AC load ratio value as soon as you turn on the car. That's why my practice now is to turn off the AC before I switch off the car when I get home in the afternoon. I almost never need AC (heat or cool) in the summer morning commute, but I sometimes need AC on for my afternoon commute back home.

I do a similar thing in turning it off prior to exit:).

I also kill the AC about 5 minutes prior to pulling into the garage to allow for the condensation to clear from the AC system ;).

Out here AC is a great comfort particularly when the triple digits are around, so I use the system accordingly (y).

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have trouble breathing when our temp hit 90F. LOL

In my case, AC stays on during winter all the time while single digit day time high is in forecast. Of course, in those days, ICE turns on every time car is started.

    What’s winter:p?

You probably have humidity with your heat, which is definitely more oppressive .

Went to Houston in July and that is too much for me:oops:.

When we got back to the Sacramento airport, the temperature was the same as Houston, but the humidity was none existent :).

    Felt much better(y).

My wife just went to Texas for the first time in her life. While there, she said, she did not go outside except very briefly when she had to during transit through airport to the car to the house she was staying. Her friend there said to her "It is not bad as it is dry", but my wife didn't buy that.

I've been to San Diego in Nov, and it was still too hot for me.

    San Diego is paradise :).

60-80’s year round, hard to beat;).

    Other than cost of living:oops:.

But every thing has positives and opportunities (y).

I know why I moved to FL; it was a job requirement. Can't figure why people move here who don't have to. Last time I saw 0% A/C load here was probably in March. Here's the "feels like" forecast for here for Sunday. Today and tomorrow are almost as bad. And we're only five miles from the water. It's worse inland.

I'm pretty sure the AC load ratio actually measures all HVAC use in the car, not only when you hit the AC button. I don't have the manual handy to quote a page bumber but that is what I've noticed.

I tried to give out the hints on reaching 40 on the GOM. If seriously interested in reaching that goal I'll suggest two more things.
Turn off A/C and stop trying to fool the cars computers.

What a coincidence! Mine dropped to 12.9kWh/100km this morning as well

For the record, my lifetime DM2 number did creep up a point to 4.9 miles/kWh. Artificially increasing daily miles/kWh had no immediate and direct effect on the DM2 number. It must take into the consideration of actual distance driven under EV mode (not just coasting). I was hoping to reach 5.0 miles/kWh before winter, but that is starting to look very hard.

In ~5300 miles this summer, I improved lifetime average from 4.5 miles/kWh to 4.9 miles/kWh.

I'm sitting at 12.7kWh/100km as well (basically 4.9 miles/kWh). I'm having my doubts that it'll drop further (even though my monthly Eco diaries are still below 12). I hope I do.

I need a quick conversion cheat sheet for the Canadian and US display. It is strange you are wishing the number to "drop" further while I want it to "increase". lol

Same as mpg. I always have to watch what I'm saying... we want lower and you want higher haha. (and the bars on the display are also reverse).

Well miles to km is 1.6 (1.60934) and to get from Wh/km to kWh/100km, you just do 100/x.

    so 4.9*1.6=7.84Wh/km
    100/7.84=12.755kWh/100km.
