What holds it on? Is it just clips and you simply pull it off? Can you run a small wire behind the cover without interfering with the air bag deployment?

First - disconnect the - battery terminal (someone should put a high-voltage switch in - to make it easy)

You pull back the door trim stuff that runs around the edge of the A plastic. Then you can pull the A out at that spot - you will pull it out and back a bit - about an two inches - the pillar snaps out and back *but* there is this thing holding it. That *thing* has some weird connector - it needs to be twisted 90 degrees then you then you can pull out the trim...... I used a needle nose, twisted 90, pulled, and all was fine.

Reassembly is reverse - you need to twist the thing to get it back (not too hard), and plug and tuck.... Lots of room for wires...

Oh - please remember to reconnect the battery

Yes, and your radio presets too. And maybe some other things I haven't noticed as well.

How about the pillar to the rear of the front doors? I have a post that is in draft pending confirmation of a rattle solved involving that area, but am waiting for a few days to make sure it does not come back. If it does, info about those interior trim pieces would avoid another dealer trip.

In fact, info about removing any and all interior panels would be useful. Do I need a service manual for that?
