I've been scanning the forums all week but my mind is just about to explode here. Im hoping someone can help me narrow down some issues here.

    2006 Prius. 130k miles.

A few weeks ago I was driving down the highway and my passenger side tire blew after hitting something metal. It ripped out the lining around the tire as well as the white air intake box (thingy) that sits right in front of the passenger side tire. I was going to put it back in but according to my google searches it wasn't necessary. There were also 3 cables hanging down that I couldnt find where they belong so I just zip tied them up until I can afford to have it serviced. No driving issues everything was driving just fine. Had a couple lights on but no issues. Fast forward to earlier this week Im getting on the interstate and I get Red triangle and PROBLEM message on the monitor. the ICE engine died and eventually everything went dark. We put the car on a dolly ran by the gas station. Filled it up and took it to my moms driveway. We took the 12v out and took it to get tested. everything good there. After filling it up the car would drive again but as i was driving the ICE stopped and i got red triangle. however it would still run off electric. I pulled over. turned it off and on and the Ice came back to normal operation. However still getting all dash lights including red triangle. No > problem message this time. So we ran the codes with a standard reader. we got...

    p3191
    p0171
    p1121
    p3190

I know this could be a crazy number of things but just curious if anyone has an insight on anything that could lead me in the right direction.

    P0171 - system too lean (bank 1)
    Trouble areas:
    air induction system
    injector has blockage
    mass air flow meter
    engine coolant temp sensor
    fuel pressure
    gas leakage in exhaust system
open or short in a/f sensor (bank 1 sensor 1) circuit
    a/f sensor (bank 1 sensor 1)
    a/f sensor heater (bank 1 sensor 1)
    EFI M relay (integration relay)
    PCV valve and hose
    PCV host connection
    ECM

P1121 - Coolant flow valve position sensor circuit stuck
    Trouble areas:
Water valve (coolant flow control valve)
    cooling system (clogging)

    P3190 - Poor engine power
    Trouble areas:
    air induction system
    throttle body
    fuel pressure
    engine
    air flow meter
    lack of fuel
    engine coolant temp sensor
    crankshaft position sensor
    camshaft position sensor
    ECM

P3191 - Engine does not start
    Trouble areas:
    air induction system
    throttle body
    fuel pressure
    engine
    air flow meter
    lack of fuel
    crankshaft position sensor
    camshaft position sensor
    ECM

edit: I should also note that my brother attempted to *jump* the battery from his running vehicle previously to us having the 12v battery tested.

Actually that white thingy is important. The Hemholtz resonator is connected to your intake manifold so if it’s after the MAF it changes the airflow amount and let’s dirt into the cylinders. I don’t know what the 3 wires are but I’ve never seen an extra wire on a Toyota just hanging. So unless it’s for fog lights it’s important.

Okay, sorry to bump this. Final update. Problem Solved. I feel silly. I put the air resonator back in. and the 2 wires that were hanging down from the front right wheel were such a mystery to me for the past few weeks. I couldn't for the life of me figure out where they went. I got my friend to look at it and turns out they connect to one another. My brain. So plugging those back in we went for a ride and as soon as we hit the corner of my block every dash light went off. 0 codes. no triangle. everything's back to tip top shape again. shaking my head at myself.

Never feel sorry to update with a solution. We like when people get their problems fixed around here. This might actually help someone someday. I mean you searched around and thought you didn’t need that resonator attached. Now you know better.
