It was time for them to close and I knew a sale wasn’t happening so i offered 24k OTD. He was not receptive and gave the impression that the internet-advertised 2,000 dealer discount was the only one in play. I kept reiterating that there was a 2020 with a $28,300 MSRP, so i needed more separation if I was going to buy a 2 year old model with less features and one less seat.

I may aim for an OTD of 25-25,500. Does that seem like a good deal? I’m hoping they’re trying to ditch it since they have several 2020s in their prep center. After tax credit (4500) and college discount (500), that would put me at 21k. A little higher than some other people, but there’s also very little competition in Hawaii.

It's simply too good a deal to pass up. Moving on from an 08 Altima Hybrid with 190K.

This is our second. Bought one in June with only $2800 dealer discount and $2500 rebate.

@E72 That's awesome... really awesome. It's only a tiny thing, but doc fees should be $85 too. There, I saved you enough for lunch at Marucci's.

$25k is still a bad deal for a 2018. Might as well buy it from CA and have it shipped to Hawaii. See the post after yours where they got $7000 off MSRP.

$85 Doc + $30 for the electronic DMV garbage fee. I wasn't going to complain.

I had to look up Marucci's. Looks great. Thing is... I traveled about 2 hours each way to get this car and I don't head through Walnut Creek too often.

You would get the dealer discount and $3500 rebate. You would also get the college rebate.

That is a excellent deal. Looks like almost all dealers are starting to play ball on the Premium models since they have so many left. I'm kinda jealous because that's only $850 more from my Plus model I just got.

Oh cool. Yeah you’re right I’ll hold at 24k. Anything more and I might as well ship one in or go up to a 2019/2020

There's a dealer just north of the Golden Gate with a lot of 2019 Primes left and they claim they'll beat anyone's price but they're not playing ball yet. Up in the Sacramento area, there are no Premiums left. Closest one was Napa or Tracy. There are plenty scattered around the Bay though.

Looks like cashback incentive for 2020 Prime jumped up to $1500 in my area this month (Atlantic). Not seeing the $3500 for 19s anymore but I'm sure that will pop back in a month or so?

Whoa... That's nice for the 2020! I did all of that haggling for $2500 last month, maybe I couldve gotten it down even lower this month!

Historically, does Toyota offer bigger rebates for the prime during holiday season/toyotathon?

Iam in TX and don’t see the same great rebates as you saw for the 2019 MY recently.

We are looking to get a 2020 Prius Prime XLE (mag. blue) around May of 2020 and was researching to see what the lowest price we might reasonably expect to get.

Searching this thread for the XLE so far the lowest price (before taxes and fees) I saw was $28,600 so is that about the lowest we could expect or could there be some rebates available by May to make it even lower than that ? (I am already aware of the $4500 federal tax incentive)

We are in the southeast (South Carolina) if that makes any real difference.

I just want to know in advance about what the best deal I can expect so I know whether to walk out of a dealership and go to the next one if they are not close enough to that amount. Thanks !
