I know Gen 2 Prius can only have up to 5 key fobs registered with ECU.

I'm having trouble with programming a new non-SKS key fob.

It got me wondering, maybe the new key fob isn't being programmed because I maxed out the 5 registered key fobs?

How can I check how many key fobs have been registered (hopefully without using Techstream)?

and more importantly, how can I clear it, without clearing the only key fob that works at the moment?

I’m in the same boat. I just bought a 08 and I only came with 1 non SKS Fob. I’m planing on buying 2 more. What is a techstream? An OBD 2 reader of some sort? Forgive me I’m used to Range Rovers.
