I sold the gas tank earlier for $60 with half a tank of gas in it. The guy that bought it didn't want the gas, was afraid it would contaminate his car. He needed the tank for the fuel pump. Saved him a ton of money.

The interior was really trashed, But all airbags were intact. I just didn't need anymore Prius parts. I've got nearly everything in my garage.

    How big is your garage:whistle:?

Probably bigger than the normal ones in California suburbia:).

My 2 car garage houses the RX450h as well as the Prime, so parts storage is limited :(.

    So I’m a bit more selective (y).

Are you offering reconditioning services? If I bring my car to you, can I pay you to recondition my battery?

I have a spare 2 car garage at my old house with all my extra stuff in it. My current house has a 3 car garage with room for my Camaro and Rav4. Extra car space is for ...more stuff.

I try to be more selective, that's why I sold off my Prius parts car for $100 or I would run out of room

I can recondition your battery for $100, but it takes a week. This will provide 3 charge and discharge cycles. no battery disassembly

Dude...get yourself out of the weeds and think about what JC is offering. He’s basically offering some Putz a lifeline, for a quite reasonable cost. You have this thing where you think everyone can fix their own car. The guy knows nothing and wants to learn nothing. He needs to drive up to JC’s place and bring beer. If he has half a brain he will watch. And ask questions as the installation goes.

Does that include harness purchase and install:whistle:?

Or you’ve got spare harness available and you’ll remove it once done:).

    Still a great price(y).

no harness, I attach the wires straight to the battery. Only 2 nuts to remove. Charger and discharger is the same.

Lifeline or not... The person who started this thread is not a Putz and it's telling for you to suggest it as such... My only goal was to give the person starting this thread as much information as possible so can make an informed decision on the most affordable solution. And what are you @Skibob offering the original poster who has no problem at all with their battery back other than the need for a little bit of reconditioning? I'll answer that for you. You're offering: name calling.

Guess you and I read differently. The OPs first post was how to get a battery pack for as cheap as possible.

You were addressing that question... Agreed... I was addressing the fact that their symptoms did not yet necessitate that... I'll be more clear next time.

The first thing I would like to say is respect to you my Prius friend. We agree about some things, we disagree about some things. I enjoy agreeing with you on some things and disagreeing with you on others.

Wow. Lots of info here. JC91006, you have been straight up and I'll consider all your options of both replacement and reconditioning. My original post was misquoted, if I had the cheddar for a new OEM battery, I'd just buy a new(er) Prius. Got my well-maintained '05 with good interior and minimal body damage and want to make it last. Skibob I resent you using foul language in my presence, and pray for your soul.
