Happy to hear it, actually. I owned a few VW vans back in the day, loved them and still miss them. But I haven’t had a personal need for a minivan in years, and none offered that were cool enough to get just because I wanted them.

Yea... All them crystals in the Ancient Ozark geology in Arkansas tends to get the good people who live there to lean left a little more than neighboring states.

Yeah, but I think what's really doing in the diesel is the Audi/VW emissions scandal. We owned one of the A-3 Audis which had the faked emissions numbers, sold it back to them in the settlement, and didn't go back to diesel. Too bad, because it was a fine car otherwise--great low-end torque, fun handling, etc.

NW (i.e., Ozark) Arkansas is one of the most conservative places in the country these days. Also, since the rise of the Waltons (Wal-Mart), Tyson's Chicken, JB Hunt trucking, and a few others, it has become prosperous for the first time in history.

true - a big difference from the early 1970's when we 1st drove there to be w/ family. Tesla has been promising a supercharger at Fort Smith for a # of years now, so i40 won't require any alternative/slower charging. It's still a far cry from being a Hi-Tech Electric Car locale. We know the area because that's where the in-laws live. Once that supercharger gap is filled in, THEN the state can truly say it's entered the 21st century.

I rode my bike through the southlands once around the turn of the century and have only been up northways once or twice under load. Does it get hot in the springs? Or is that more just in the summertime.
I haven't been coal rolled either except maybe once, but I was so far back when the burn started that by the time I drove through the remnants I had the a/c off and opened the windows right after passing through.
Big Black F350 lifted, so technically not a real Koal Roll. Gotta love monster truck week at your favorite arena.
