That will depend on the Amperage of the EVSE. Toyota claimed 1.5 hours

if the onboard display shows 2.0h would that mean that battery is in worse condition that it takes 2h vs 1.5h to fully re-charge?

Is there any point of asking small dealer to get car to Main Toyota Dealer to test the HV battery? Or is there any other test I could do myself?

nice looking car. keep in mind, it will be harder to find a mechanic than for the corolla, and probably not as reliable

My german cousin's husband who works for Volkswagen also said that he thinks that in Poland mechanics might have less clue and he thinks something like Skoda diesel or VW diesel would be better option from repairs point of view. He is worries whether father would know how to deal with hybrid car.

yeah,, its not something you spring on everyone unannounced. you never know what the reaction might be.

maybe you should have a conversation about your car, has he driven it?

if it does have, yes, if you catch it in time. you have to open the whole circuit and clean everything. a lot of labor, but no parts.
if you don't catch it in time, it can blow the head gasket

I test drove car on Saturday and car drove very well apart from HV battery issue.

When i parked car i went through settings and the car showed that it has not been driven for 4 months. It had only less than 70km last month and two months ago. Nil kilometers driven in 3 and 4 months ago. Hence my suspicion why HV was discharged.

Are you thinking Prius will get less reliability than corolla?

In Dublin Ireland 60-70% taxis are japanese imported priuses all the way from 2005 to 2018

I might need to consider to give him a call tmrw and ask what he thinks about it.

He drove one year ago 2009 prius and he said he feels it feels like a bit noisy. Hence I looked at 2012 as it has improved sound insulation.

overall, maybe not. but corolla has great reputation and history, and any mechanic can fix them.

gen 3 prius has a few issues, but overall very good. hard to findmech outside expensive dealer though.

auntie's partner is trying to convince her that I should look for German diesel car.
I feel like world is going against my Prius experience. I had 2005 for about 80,000km's with nearly no issues but I serviced it myself and knew what to look for.
