Hi all, this is my second post, been lurking a while, and now want to share my experience of repair on my 2008 Prius.

So had the P0314 error in Carista , but wanted to be sure so checked out on hybrid assistant, this told me that cell 1 was fault (it wasn’t) on take apart the crimped wire tag back to the ECU was broken, so out came the soldering iron, fixed that, next was checking all cells and voltages, turned out that all where fine but for cell 8, and to be fair I didn’t need to put the multimeter across that as I could see it needed replacement. So that’s all done now the hybrid goes back into the car, nothing nada car is a husk, time for problem solving pulled the diagnostic screen up, on load 10.9v for aux battery, so replaced that. But still nothing had the Christmas tree of lights on the dashboard but no error codes. Called out the AA and they couldn’t help so eventually I Saw that the isolator key has a supplemental connector which I presume feeds back to an ECU so all I did to is supported it underneath when plugging in, instantly the car was my friend again.

sorry about the long post, but hopefully it well the end may prove useful to somebody.
