    Hello all!

My 2006 Prius is making a noise when pressing or releasing the brake pedal. It makes the noise regardless of whether the car or moving. Any ideas about what could be wrong?

Please hear this voice recording of the noise -
Note that the louder noise is from pressing / releasing the brake pedal, the softer one is what is problematic.

    Thanks very much!

why do you have to press and release multiple times? what happens when you just step on the brake and not release repeatedly?

    Thanks guys!

@bisco I have the dash lights as expected, no issues there.

@JC91006 If I step on the brake once while driving, it makes the noise. I was just pressing and releasing them repeatedly for the recording to ensure that it gets recorded.
