Battery issue? (video included)

    I tested the battery at the dealership and it turns out it was bad. I replaced it and immediately my cruising range went from 80 miles to 130. So I've been operating on a dysfunctional battery since I got it.

    The battery replacement seems pretty straightforward. I do have a couple of questions, though:
    • Will swapping the battery wipe out any stored data (mileage, odometer readings, customization to the UI, stored radio stations, or bluetooth settings and pairings)?
    • Is there a recommended brand of battery? Can you pick one up at an auto supply place or must it come from the dealer?

    yes. to avoid all that, connect a 12v source to the jump point under the hood. any battery will work, meaning, you can get one at most auto parts dealers, or on line. i prefer oem, but they're all good. shop around for price, warranty, etc.
