Anyone got a use for the secret zipper pouch in the back of the driver's seat?

I am among those who complain that the Gen4 doesn't have as much storage space as the Gen2 did.

But then, barely two months with the new 2019, and I discovered a zipper on the back of the driver's seat. It may be a little bit of a stretch to call it a "secret" compartment, but it's not particularly conspicuous.

The zipper pouch is smaller than the more conspicuous, unzippered pouches on the back of both seats, where, I assume, you'd put the safety information card and barf bags for the rear seat passengers.

The main use I made of the secret compartment in the 2006 was to hold a spare set of house keys, and (don't tell anyone I'm doing this) the zipper pouch would definitely serve that purpose.

Anyone else have any good ideas for how to use the little secret zipper pouch?

Here's another possible use: emergency Pop-Tarts.

I happened to have a box of Pop-Tarts handy that I got as a gift this past weekend, and so far I have only eaten one Pop-Tart out of the 8 in the box.

I am happy to report that the secret zipper pouch can easily accommodate 3 foil-wrapped pairs of Pop-Tarts.

According to the manual, you're supposed to put the manual in it so you actually have room to put something in the glove box. Of course if you do, no one will ever think to look for the manual in a secret zipper pouch ...

I vote for the emergency Pop Tarts though.

Hmm, I wonder if the pre-2019's have a secret zipper pouch. I must go and look later...

I thought about it - but I'd have to take the seat covers off. Too hard basket - I'll wait till another 2016 owner checks!!!

This is awesome. I couldn't figure out what to do with the owners guide packet on my 2019 and this thread solved that problem for me. Out of sight, out of mind!

I would post one, but it's really not worth it. It's just a horizontal zipper right above the seat pocket. When I first saw it I thought it was an exposed zipper for putting on the seat cover.

I just thought of another use for the secret zipper pouch:

You could easily fit a spare CR2032 battery for the key/fob.

It’s too bad you can’t fit a spare tire in there...now that would be a useful secret compartment.
