I've yet to see any oil level drop on our 2010; first car we've ever had thus. Maybe minor consumption neck-and-neck with fuel dilution? Who knows.

I am following an incredibly short oil change interval, fwiw.

I recently used a can of BG EPR (109) for 15 minutes before doing an oil change. The oil came out very black, so I'm hoping it did something to remove any sludge/varnish around the oil control ring on the piston, which apparently is the cause of the oil consumption on these cars.
I'll try to remember to give an update in this thread after a few thousand miles.
Thanks to everyone for their input.

My 09 was using 1 quart every 1k miles when I was using Royal Purple. I switched to Mobil Super Synthetic and it now uses 1/4 of a quart every 1k miles. I have 128k and been using full synthetic oil since 74k when I got the car. In my opinion which oil you use can make a difference. By the way I always use 5w-30 and I always keep an eye on it every few days and change it every 3k miles myself. What I learned is that I will never use Royal Purple again. Also this is a tiny engine and it only holds under 4 quarts of oil so changing it out sooner will only do good and it only costs me around $20 for an oil change with a Toyota filter
