Hello all, as I've recently mentioned that I acquired a used prius with 180,000 miles. It feels like the ride is a bit bumpy and would like to smooth it out. Would replacing the shocks and struts show me good results or is there something else I can do? I look forward to your replies.

Socks and struts would definitely help but check tire reviews for a new set that provides smooth ride. I noticed when I put my soft winter tires on the ride is much softer.

I assume you keep as low pressure as the manual allows. When I have 35 front 33 back it is much smother ride than keeping at 40/38 during highway trips.

It is highly likely that replacing the front struts and rear shocks will be helpful. Don't expect the Prius to behave like a BMW, though.

Try fresh supple tires, new shocks & a careful check of the bushings & wheel bearings, replace any that have degraded. Get those things squared away properly and it’s a gliding library.

Thanks for all the advice so far folks, I've forgot to mention that I've already bought a new set of bfgoodrich tires though I just bought whatever was on sale since I was in dire need of new tires. However it felt like no upgrade compared to other new tires I bought for my Nissan. Also I'm not expecting it to feel like a BMW but perhaps just make it a bit smoother.
