    Hi all,

I had a previous post about grinding noise up front that appears to have gone away - which got me to thinking about other maintenance items.

So... What maintenance is recommended when approaching 200k miles? I think it would be cool to be added to that list.

Things I've already do or have done:

    - regular oil change & transmission fluid check. (btw - I had someone tell me to check the transaxle fluid - is this the same thing?
    - changed filters - oil, air and compartment (the one in the glove box).
    - new front headlight assemblies - new light bulbs. The old ones had condensation damage.
    - liftgate replaced with one from amazon.

Any recommendations? Does anything need greased, lubed etc?

    Rob

Clean corrosion off hybrid battery bus bars, inspect for hybrid system for corrosion damage, recondition hybrid pack via hybridautomotive.com equipment....

And if the HV battery is 15 years old, replacing the battery could be an option.

I wanted to do the 200k mile "tune-up" where you basically waste a bunch of money doing things that aren't necessary (imo).

But all I did was change rear struts (wasn't even really needed just did it).

I'm at 228k now and it still runs the same as it did with 140k when I got it. Never had an issue with either battery, any of the screens (odometer and radio), any of the lights, key fob, AC/heat, brakes, brake actuator, inverter, etc....

When I bought it I did spark plugs/trans flush and it badly needed front wheel bearings. I purchased the cheapest ones online and one went bad like 20k miles later...But other than that hickup zero issues aside from 2 minor things:

    1) Since about 150k have had a P0456 "very small evap leak". The engine light will go away all summer and then come back when it is cold.

    2) Oil burning since about 180k.

But overall very impressive for this last 90k mile stretch since I've owned it. I change oil every 3k so if it burns a bit and I have to add one time between changes it isn't a big deal to me at all.

It has never broken down. It has never not started.

My 2008 has 185k miles - owned it for about 5000 or so.

Looking at the prolong system - recommended by priuscamper above. Looks like something I could be interested next year, after the holidays.

Somewhere along the line I've run across some things that were recommended to check out:

    PCV valve
    spark plugs
    fuel filter

    Any thoughts?

When I changed my plugs at 120K they looked like they barely had 10K miles on them... So now I'm past 240K and am not sure I want to pull clean healthy plugs again, so I'm gonna wait.
