What's in the fin?

    OK so I broke off the fin on the roof. I thought it was the radio antenna but my reception is fine. Is it a GPS receiver or something? I don't have the nav option so IDGAF. I need to glue the fin back on at a minimum to keep the water out (I have it duct taped currently ;)) and there is clearly a broken connection in the electronic item in the fin but I'd like to confirm whether it's important or not.

    i thought it was the radio antennae too. does gen 4 have a shark fin instead of a spike?

    maybe you only need it in bad reception area's

    On the Prius Two, the roof antenna assembly contains the AM antenna and one of two FM antennas. The cover is sold separately; select the one that matches the body color.

    yeah my AM reception is non-existent but FM is fine. Duct tape still in place :)
