The 'guy' doesn't have a prius scanner, so I'm clueless. I did notice that I have minimal looking turbulence in my inverter coolant res. Maybe that's It, but I'd rather get some codes and not fix it if I'm just guessing. Following the 'who should or should NOT buy a prius', I have done all except the two coolant changes. I even tried bleeding it but probably a waste of time unless I drain and refill first. BTW, Oreilly's Bosch scanner had a lot more functions on it than my cheapie "P" code reader/resetter

Put your hand on the inverter pump and feel if it is vibrating. Did your engine ever shut off when you drove the car to the store. If it did not, your HV cells are not charging. Or you have the A/C on MAX. My daughter's car, after the first cold snap, sat for two days. Her husband started the car and moved it to another place in the driveway. Two more days later she tried to start it and got the CAR! and the check engine light came on. She called me and I told her to drive it and charge the HV battery based on what the car/battery had been through. She drove it, turned it off and restarted it at least four times. On the fifth time no lights came on. The battery had charged itself back up. When I later checked the codes p3191, p0300,p0301,p0302,p0303, and p0304 were still in the codes even though the check engine light and CAR! were no longer lit on the dash. And.......Auto parts store that check your engine light can only read like the lower p0000-p0999 codes. The higher ones are vehicle specific (toyota, mazda, ford.....)
