Does anyone know if I can just buy an exterior rear clear replacement cover for the reverse and signal unit - versus the whole assembly unit?
The lights/bulbs, etc still work fine. I covered it with clear packing tape which worked great for the summer, but now that we are getting snow, I'm thinking I need to get it fixed.
I saw the price online for the assembly unit is almost $500 though and was hoping that one of you's might know if there is an after-market option for just the plastic cover versus the whole assembly.
I'm so bummed about this car. I think it is cursed. I initially had an $8K repair bill right after purchasing it due to the nose being longer than my gen-2 Prii's, hence when I went to back up and turn it around in my driveway, I somehow clipped the perfect spot in the concrete flagpole stand and pulled the front end nose halfway off around the flag pole situated to the side of our driveway) ---- followed next during the Spring by somebody opening their SUV door into mine and leaving a 4 inch gash in the paint on the rear door... then followed up by this broken rear plastic assembly cover while it was parked all the way in the rear of the parking lot at work.
I'm at the point of replacing it with a leftover model in the Advanced line, but I have less than 12,000 miles on it and it haven't even broken it in mileage wise.
So, I'd appreciate it if anyone knows if there is anywhere to get just the cover vs the whole assembly unit for much less than $438 with tax quoted by the local Toyota dealer.
    Thanks in advance!

If one exists a local junk yard can probably confirm its existence and track one down from a totaled vehicle.

The cover isn’t available separately as a service part; see catalog Figure 81-11, Rear Combination Lamp.

Toyota dealers selling online advertise the assembly, however, at prices as low as $266, plus shipping and tax; try a Google search for the part number, 81531-47010 (right) or 81541-47010 (left).

Ok, I will check it out! :) It's a little better than having to pay full-price from dealer! Thanks again! :)

Does anyone know if a 3D printing place could make me a replacement cover?

They would need either the laser scanner setup to scan in an original or an existing file with the specifications.
