How hard are you pressing the brake pedal? If it is not pressed hard enough (and that is a fine line, a Goldilocks judgment if you will), it will not deactivate the drive on the MG.

I know you were trying to be helpful, but cross-posting about different generations or models of hybrid in the wrong forum can just create confusion, especially for people coming along later doing research. Good judgment is called for, but nevertheless, you are headed in the right direction.

I watched a YouTube video of a man claiming he could remove and reinstall a battery and under 15 minutes. This guy remove the battery in about 4, and then commented about how many hundreds of these batteries he had done(and had the back scars to prove it).

I envisioned that it was a man just like that who leaves half of the screws out and discards half of the upholstery snaps, making my hatch area rattle excessively.

Nothing wrong with the battery. The cylinder cells from newpriusbatteries. Com fit in either a Gen 2 or gen 3. I just bought one of these and put it in my 2008 Prius last week.

That's interesting you should mention that, because I have tried to scan for codes on Torque Pro which in every troubleshooting and repair I have done still says nothing, no codes. But I know the combination meter is bad and all signals except Red Triangle are displaying. I will try autozone for there code reader just in case.

It's very possible you have a problem outside of the HV battery.

Can you better describe the problems you are now having? Any warning lights?

I've seen one troubleshooter who counted the batteries going in the wrong direction and so the module he thought he was replacing, did not.
