I tried to position my car seat and steering wheel but my right knee keeps pushing against the center console. Very uncomfortable, especially in long rides. I use a thick towel now over my knee which helps. I keep reading on the internet about people having the same problem. I wonder how people in PriusChat (if any) have the same problem and how they solve it.

There's a good chance you're taller than the shorter (Roughly) ~5' 5" Japanese engineer that built the Prime.

Sounds like you need to raise the front of the seat to better support your thigh or else move it back to lower your knee. My seat blocks my knee from going that far to the side.

same problem here. its not going to get fixed. dash is impossible to modify easily, my leg isnt going to get shorter either.
kinda annoying actually, one of my only gripes about the prime.
i can make a knee pad to wear for longer trips i guess.
my left knee also rubs against the armrest... which has a sharp edge too.
i will make a pair of knee pads.

How close are you guys sitting to the steering wheel that your knees come up and over the raised sides of the seat? Also, if you're not already aware, the steering wheel telescopes, so if it's a problem with reaching the wheel, you can extend it. I know that I'm slightly inseam challenged, but I can move the seat back so far I can't even come close to reaching the gas and brake pedals.

Also, you can raise the front of the seat by itself and get it up against your thigh for support.

Precisely! Iā€™m 6ā€™2ā€, found my sweet spot. Seat 90% back and front slightly tilted, steering wheel is about 1.5 inches from default. My side of the knee is resting on the console and does not bother me.
