Help me solve this mysterious high pitch sound? prius 2008

    Hello fellow prius friends,

    Please help me figure out this sound mystery? I am currently in very low income situation so I can't afford to have this checked out and pay the $160 fee :| so I figured I should come on here and see if anyone can help me identify this and if it's worth to spend the money and have it fixed or not.

    The car is a prius 2008 and it makes this sound, a high pitch buzzing sound, when the car engine is on. In the video imgur links below I am recording the sound, the engine is on and the car is parked.

    It just recently started making this sound and I'm not sure if it's something I should worry about.
    When you look at the video, the sounds seems to come from somewhere next to the yellow canister that has the pink-colored liquid inside of it.

    If you have any idea, or any other posts I should check out, or any links, anything, please let me know?

    This is the normal sound of the car when it's on. How can this be new?

    really? I guess if it's a standard sound, it has gotten louder because this is the first time I can hear it from inside the car.
    So your prius does this sound too?

    sorry forgot to answer if ac is on, it was not on at the time of the video, just the engine.

    Electric cars make noise when they are on, it's just not regular engine noise

    yes of course, this is just a new sound I had not heard before that's why I came on here.

    It is a peculiar thing and it not only happens with noises but with scratches to the paintwork, too.

    You don't notice them until you notice them. You can never undo the noticing and they scream at you every time you go passed them.
