    welcome!

that will take some testing. it could be the stalk, or there maybe a pc board on the motor.

best bet is to look at the troubleshooting in the service manual

The repair manual doesn't have a lot of troubleshooting, basically connecting 12 volts to various pins and seeing how it performs, low and high speed.

Replacement wiper motor is around $144 USD on this US site:

Wiper Motor - Toyota (85110-47240) | Toyota Parts

    Part number is: 85110-47240

Ok thanks for reply’s anyway ,,, I did get a quote for an original motor from Toyota here in Ireland and it was 417 .00euro inc vat .... so it definitely won’t be an original going in if needed ... was the one specefied above a brand new one or second hand ?

I'm sure brand new. Things are surprisingly cheap in the States, frustrating. Perhaps search for that part number in your locale and see if anyone can do better.

Try Amayama, just feed in the part number at their main page, see what it would cost shipped to you. They ship international; I've used them once for a small item and it went well.

This also could be a symptom of a weak 12V battery. The 12V battery is essential for the proper booting of the various computers and ECU's in the vehicle. Especially in the first few seconds after pressing Power. I would pull the battery and have it bench load tested. If it is the original, it's about time for a replacement in the 6-7 year time frame. Just something else to consider.

Hello everyone, my windshield wipers keep wiping randomly without me touching it when it’s cold outside. I changed the fuse but it keeps wiping. Thanks
