Two different people in the past two weeks have asked me about jump packs, one being my daughter.

I really don't know anything about packs, but am sorta of interested to learn. Any recommendations? Anything to look for, or avoid? Cost range for a decent pack?

THANKS! I looked on the " list that pops up" when you enter the title of a post, but that thread did not show up!

Googling "priuschat [subject matter]" is often better. That's being too kind: it's pretty much always better.

Too, first time using Priuschat search, you often get no results. Repeat the search, everything the same: "why there they are".

Didn't watch the video, but the jump pack shown looks just like the one I have, except for the color and brand name. My AA/AAA charger is also available from different brands. Even came across a knock off Scangauge II with multiple brands.

And he dropped the delicate "trembler device"*, and they both were vapourized, lol.

    * No idea if that is a thing.

I did much more research than I should have on jump packs and decided to buy two of them. Both going to my daughter and her husband for their rigs -- one a Ford Focus, the other a Toyota Rav4.

Will make an O.K. Christmas present. I ended up with the Audew 500 Amp starting current; 1,500 amps Peak and 20,000 mAh. Were $60 each at many places.

They were asking about cables, as they did not have any and then the discussion turned to jump packs. They said they were going to buy them for each of their vehicles, but I know at that age, that might be in two years.
