    i have a 2012 prius V model 2 (non-JBL), and i bought the following:
    Metra 95-8243B Prius V 2012 dash kit mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IDFAW7U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Android 10.1" head unit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-1Inch-2Din-for-Android-8-1-Quad-Core-Car-Stereo-Radio-Gps-Wifi-Mp5-Player-16G/264422604685

after opening up my dash, i realize i'm missing adapters that convert my prius V's existing wiring into this android head unit :

(someone else's photo of their prius C , but my 2012 prius V looks pretty much the same)[IMG]

I'm reading that I should be getting the Metra 70-1761 + Antenna Kit. But i'm still confused, because the
70-1761 kit only has 2 brackets when the existing prius V has like 6 plugs (as above). is there more adapters that I require?

    Thank you for your advice,

From what I read on your power and speaker adapter, that’s all you get, eg power and four speakers. Not too good since won’t be able to hook up to the factory antennas or steering wheel controls. No rear view camera either. It always helps to include a model of the radio and ideally a pdf of its instructions. You will also lose all the car’s hybrid screens. Here’s a pdf of the 2012 trim 3 system.

thank you. i dont mind no steering controls or hybrid info, but is there NO way to get connect the existing backup camera connections (like somehow convert it into RCA?) into my head unit?

Does that head unit even have a RCA video input? That kind of video is analog (sometimes called component or composite) while most Android devices only display digital formats like MP4 or 5. From what I gather you need 6 vdc and Gnd to power the camera and Camera+ and Camera- for the signal. No telling what the resolution or format is on the factory camera. Your new head unit is likely the limiting factor, assuming it has camera inputs. You also have to come up with 6vdc to run it and some mechanism to let the new head unit know you are in reverse. If you are doing this for more audio power I would go for a line input amp driven by the factory head unit and new speakers. Otherwise I might just mount an Ipad or similar on the dash (lots of empty space to the left) and call it good. But to move forward with your idea you might call Crutchfield and ask them how. It may require a different aftermarket head unit and perhaps a 12v to 6v power supply. https://www.crutchfield.com/g_751/Factory-System-Adapters.html?tp=3486. Pic from earlier pdf.

Have you mounted that stereo in your dash yet? I was going to order that same one but I don't see how you would be able to mount it unless you can extend the screen away from the unit at least a couple of inches.

I ended up getting the normal double din sized Android head unit and an aftermarket camera. Since these decks don't come with a aux jack, i don't see how you can get the steering wheel controls to work. I don't care about those though as I have never used them in any of my cars.

If it's anything like my Sienna, the OEM camera quality is not great after converting it to work with an aftermarket stereo.

I wanna see how it looks because I wanted to put this in a regular gen3 for one that didn’t have gps etc. when I looked at it like 4 months or so it was double the price for the unit. I think im gonna buy a few of these units and possible offer them as an upgrade or replacement for people who’s display dies. Will that facia let the actual display unit sit flush?

How did this all end up? I am installing a ATOTO S8 right now in my 2012 V. Most everyuthing has patched over with the harness I bought, but the reverse camera is tricky. I want to use the stock camera, but I needed a special harness to do that and I have not been able to figure ouit how to wire it in. I'm pretty sure the 16 pin connector with only five filled slots is the correct connector in the car.
