    Success!!!
@Pacific Seaglass came by with his 2013, 140,000 mile Gen III. We pulled the EGR and cooler out and it was a good thing! The cooler was fairly clogged. You could see light through it, but barely. We replaced it with a brand-new cooler, and Seaglass plans to clean the old cooler and provide it to someone in a future MeetUp.

Granted, it was a small MeetUp... just the two of us. But Portland/Beaverton is off to a strong start!

It's all thanks to @Raytheeagle, @Mendel Leisk, and @NutzAboutBolts for giving me the know-how and experience to tackle this. Everything went flawlessly, and Seaglass and I are looking forward to more.

Glad to hear it went well:).

Did you install a catch can too:whistle:?

That’d be my next add to the list of things to accomplish (y).

How do the invites go out on this? Did I just miss a thread? I'd love to make the next one.

I’ve been trying to round people up for months!

We have room to work on two cars at a time, so if we’re fast we should be able to get through four or more cars in a day, depending on how much we do to each car (I do not know about four EGR’s in a day!)

When the weather gets better, we can combine the MeetUp with a backyard BBQ, but I’d like to do more in the winter. What do you want to tackle?

A great time was had. Couldn't have done it without the help of Rebound, and those who have come before us on this forum. A lot of people here giving information, tips and tricks to make the big jobs go smoothly. Draining the coolant before hand made the coolant hose removal a lot less messy as well.

I'm up in Lacey WA and definitely need to do an EGR cooler swap :C I snapped the head off of one of the studs at the back, making it a real pain so I didnt get all the way through removing it and just gave up. I also need to figure out which part number that stud is so I can order a new one too.

I started the MeetUps in California. Ray helped me take out my EGR a year ago. But I moved up to Portland earlier this year and I'm trying to get a regular MeetUp going here.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: That probably won’t happen  I’m sure you guys are more knowledgeable than me on the Prius now since you’ve all been working on them more often than I. (y)

Yeah, what’s up with bailing on all the meetups? I showed up at every single one!*

*(every one that was at my house, that is. I’m too lazy to drive)

Well, I'm totally down for the next Portland one. I'd love a chance to clean out the intake manifold again (just did the cooler last year, so should still be good)

That’s great. We’ll have three intakes to clean and why don’t we do three oil catch cans while we’re at it?

I tried to reply earlier but must have forgotten to hit post...

Had a great time working on the car. Couldn't have done it without Rebound and those who have shared tips and information on this site. Certainly helps the big jobs go smoothly.

Look forward to getting together again now that the hardest job is done.

I would love to get in on these meet ups. I need to do the EGR cleaning but am a little unsure of doing it. If I can get some help from those that are experienced doing it that would be great. I was planning to install an OCC. I live just across the river near Vancouver, WA.
