I saw there were couple of threads on the prime limited 2020 for obd2, but they are old.
Do we have a good hardware and software recommendation?

What all functionalities can be modified?

    thanks

Carista is very good - around $40 for the bluetooth OBD2 reader, and it comes with a free week trial of the paid version of their app, which allows you to customize most everything you could want (turn off the reverse beep, change number of blinker reps with a tap of the stock, turn of seatbelt alarm chimes, alter chime volume...pretty much anything you could reasonably want to modify is there) Lots of people have bought the dongle, made their changes during their trial, and cancelled, making it a fairly cost-effective option. Worth noting, the Carista code reader is compatible with other bluetooth OBD2 apps - I've long since cancelled my carista app subscription, but still use it with the Dash app for real-time OBD2 data and other such things.

Thinks for the reference to using the Carista reader with other apps. The Carista app specifically says that it is not for real-time readouts, so if the device can be used with real-time apps, that would be very nice.

I still think this list on the Hybrid Assistant website of OBD2 is still pretty good:
    Hybrid Assistant: OBD

I use the OBDLink LX in my 2018 Prius Prime and it works pretty great.
