That's what the forums are for. There will always be information that people don't have answers for and there will always be people that have those answers. :D

Unfortunately that promising method is not applicable to year 2016 Trim 2. No fog lights wire in the harness, just empty row. Fog lights were installed and connected with factory plugs, but wiring is still missing.

Hi! Thanks to every one who contributed to this topic, especially kwhubby. I applied instructions from his web-site to C 2016 Trim 2. I took pictures of the most crucial steps (tapping, unplugging front/back and taking apart fuse box) to make his instructions clearer for other newbies like me :)
With that method the indicator on the dash panel doesn't light up, but the switch itself is illuminated.
    Few notes:
    1) if taking apart fuse box and planning to leave the car like that overnight on the street, make sure you have all windows closed before disconnecting wires - there will be no power to close them after :giggle:

    2) Get the easiest to use tapping connectors as the space is very narrow. I spent most of the time trying to tap two %*@$#$ blue wires with connectors that require a pliers to be securely closed. There is obviously not enough space to hold the wire with one hand and secure it with another hand. Later I found that 3M scotchlok t-taps are easiest to use in such a narrow environment.
    Good luck with your upgrade!:)

This time applied 13PriusC's method to C2017 Trim 3. Thank you very much!
All I had to do is to run two top row wires from stalk harness to the empty spot next to the EV mode button (seats heating button in Trim 4), and plugged the fog lights.
Initially I purchased the fog light kit on Amazon which was claimed to fit C 2015-2017, and it did fit, but the bezels on 2017 are longer than on 2016, so Toyota made extra 3 holes on each side of the bumper to hold them. As you can see on the picture, the kit fits, but final set up looks ugly.
I ended up buying OEM fog lights bezels from local dealership for $165 a pair after tax. If you ever decide to do the upgrade with the same year (2017), use exactly the same part numbers for your order as on picture, since your VIN for trim 1-3 wouldn't help dealership to identify the right part and any random VIN for trim 4 will show them 6 possible variants just for fog lights bezels. Moreover they even might refuse to order it or waste your time arguing that: "it is not possible to install fog lights on trim 1-3". I called 3 dealerships and they all refused to disclose part number.
    Good luck with your project!

about to tackle this mod on my 2015 c2 and have a few questions based on the prior posts:
    1. Will the advertised PriusChat Shop's Fog Light kit work on a 2015-'17 or is the fitment only applicable to 2012-'14? Guessing different bezels may be needed?
    2. Does the dash fog light indicator illuminate with the aforementioned kit?
    3. Will the c4 stalk (Multi-function Switch P/N: 84140-47161) work on my '15 c2 with the aforementioned kit? If not, what's needed to make it work?
    4. Will the jumper method @13PriusC mentioned earlier work with the existing harness on my '15 c2 or will addl. wiring be required?
Thx in advance for the replies and guidance.

Hi everyone, today I installed aftermarket fog lights on my 2014 C3. I want to use the stock wiring but the connector to the column stalk does not have the second row with the two cables that can be jumped together. I've been reading this thread for a couple hours and still can't figure out an easy way to jump some cables and make the lights turn on. I would really really appreciate if someone could tell me how to simply splice a switch between the necessary cables. I don't care if it only works with low beams, and I don't care for the switch light to turn on. Just a simple two cable switch between the necessary cables in the harness. PLEASE SOMEONE.

Hello. So i found the 2 wires for the fog in the harness. I wanted your help, i want to add the oem style fog light switch. It has 4 wires coming out of it. Is there any way i can connect the two fog wires from the harness to the oem style switch so it works as an on off switch? Im okay with them turnin off with high beams. I just want an independent switch for them and i also want the switch to be illuminated. Can you help me?

    I have a Prius C 2016, trim 2.
Fog light wire harness is present. The grey and white wiring from the stalk is not present.

I decided to use existing wiring but to use the button that my kit came with.

I found that I stead of pulling out the fuse box/ecu to wire the pin, you can instead use pin 15(3A) and connect it to ground to activate the relay. You can also use 1(3C) or 2(3C) (see picture attached for other options) to use the night light.

I did modify the fog light switch. I needed to modify the wiring and bypass a resistor within the switch (it's easy to pry off the top without damaging it) to allow enough current to pass to activate the relay while still lighting up the switch (this switch was made to send power, not ground it; hence the mod.

I've also attached how I installed the wire into the plug. Tie the wire to nearby wires for support...or buy an actual pin for it if you care too.

Also, Ive seen some people saying that the one tab is in the way. It's actually supposed to sit in the protrusion (see attached pic).

Thank you everyone that made contributions to this thread! It helped me a lot!
