    Hi Everyone,

I received the P1121 code for a bad 3 way coolant valve. Drained the system and replaced the valve according to many of the resources and threads available here. When refilling the coolant, I'm unable to get the multimeter to jump the CHS Pump relay. I put both pins in the relay (black on bottom red on top) and nothing happens.

I've checked the fuse and that is in working condition (swapped with the horn fuse).

Is the pump dead? What are my next steps?

    Thanks!

Forget using a meter; use a paper clip to short the switched relay terminals.

I'll try that method tomorrow. I was able to get all the coolant back into the vehicle that I removed bleeding the heater core and then letting it cool. Took it for a drive, but there is certainly still air in the system (can hear gurgling). Looks like I'll just continue the process of heater core bleeding and trying to get this pump to cycle with the paper clip.

Looking back, I would have clamped off these hoses before removing the 3 way valve - what a pain this is!
