Sorry, I searched but I could not find anything that gave an explanation that worked (Saw something that said look in the manual for setup... but I had nothing in my manual... and nothing from the MFD)

    I have a 2006 Prius package 8 and I sometimes play MP3 disks.

I would like to have the radio track display stay up, but instead after a short bit it turns right back to the information display.

Is there anything I can do to keep the radio display visible on the MFD?

    Thanks!

Sorry to have my first post be a question!

    (Edit: Package 8!)

Press the Info button next to the mfd screen, then select Screen Settings. The first option that appears on the screen begins with "Transition from....(Audio/AC/Navi)". Select "Off". This way your Audio screen will come up and stay up on the mfd when you press the audio button. Otherwise, if it remains in "On", the screen will continue to change back after ~10 seconds.

I thought package 8 was the highest package available in the 2006's?

Package 9 is the same stuff as Package 8 except for the leather seats and trim.

Package 7 is Nav, package 8 is with leather.
Although I know my dealer hates it when I use the numbers, they like the letter codes - so maybe this varies somewhat?

I agree I just purchased a package #8 and it includes the leather, I have never see a package #9, maybe it was just a typo.

Package 8 has leather seats and trim. There's nothing above a package 8 on the Toyota website, not since the 2004MY.

Oops :) will fix that. sorry! I can be a space cadet with numbers like that. It is an 8

Will try that... It seems that it said somethign about the AC and Nav so it confused me :) Changed it now and will see what it does on my way home.

Yup. that was it. The wording of that option confused me and I thought it was something else :)

    Thanks.

I have set my display switching feature to "OFF" as described in this thread, but my display still switches, and it really annoys me.

Say I turn off the car with the Audio screen shown. When I then turn the car on, the display comes up with either the "Consumption" screen or the Nav warning screen ("using the nav system while driving is dangerous blah blah blah") and I have to press "I agree" or one of the bezel buttons (e.g. Audio).

How can I get the display to start up in the same mode I shut it down in??

Thanks for any advice (yes, I did search through the forums for an answer...)
