06 Prius Dead

    WE GOT OUR CAR BACK!!! Just picked up the vehicle, it's been two weeks. OK here's what the invoice said.
    "Short in immobilizer ECU damaging Power ECU. Replaced both ECU's and reprogrammed all smart key functions."
    The part# 89670-47010 computer PO and # 89780-47030 computer TR.
    However the service manager said he believes nothing was wrong with the power computer just the immobilizer computer. And the best part this computer is in other Toyota vehicles, not just the Hybrid. That makes me feel better, just wish it didn't takes so long. I blame the local dealer for lack of knowledge even though he blames Tech support.
    Hopefully this will help someone or even a dealer. Thanks all for your support.

    whew! at least it's fixed now. see, don't hesitate to trust the hybrid ;) it's usually the other stuff that'll give ya trouble.

    thanks for the info, if the problem comes up down this way your post has indeed helped a dealer tech. now we return you to your happy prius ownership experience, already in progress.
