    I would check D18.

If you look at the combo sxw legend on the schematic you can check its state easily. Disconnect the 12 volt battery and do some continuity checks.

In the combo's off state no pins are connected. Find D18 as all combo swx pins with the exception of ground go through that assy. See if pin 1 and pin 3 of that assy are shorted. That diode is across those 2 pins. Should be open one way and 600 ohms the other.

Then check the combo swx state there also. You have the print.

I'd just like to follow up on how the car is now performing with the rear wiper washer disconnected and dome fuse installed.

    1) I learned all doors must be closed for the battery current draw to go down to acceptable level. This includes the rear hatchback with no dome light.. with it open there's still a fair amount of current draw.
    2) The car is remembering climate settings (Yeah!)
    3) I went as long as FOUR days without using the car and it still powered on just fine.. WIN!
