    Greetings;

    About a week ago I had my catalytic converter stolen from my prius, I took it to the dealer and they said it would cost 2500 dollars to replace. Unfortunately I don't have full coverage, so I've been looking for more affordable options. I've been looking on craighslist and saw this listing King Muffler Auto Repair. i checked the reviews on them and there are confling reviews based on google and yelp.

    Does anyone on here have experience with them, should I give them a shot?

    Thanks helping me :)

    Also check wrecking yards and they sell used cat systems for $800 or cheaper. You can find listing on google or craigslist. Try Prius wrecking yards tons in long beach.

    Yeah, I've considered that. I'm definitely going to get full coverage once I get my cat replaced.

    Yeah, I've seen a few on craigslist. 800 bucks is a way better deal, but I would still need to pay a muffler shop to install, plus I don't want to get broken used one.

    Here's a link the listing I spotted on craigslist Toyota Prius Catalytic Converter New! 2003-2009 - auto parts - by owner - vehicle automotive sale .

    350 for the cat and service

    I'm just afraid it might sound too good to be true.

    The way I read the ad is $350 for cat and $350 for labor. That's $700. You should replaced it with used good condition cat. This way it will pass smog for sure.

    Here is used oem cat. I'm sure you find it cheaper if search further. This $850 installed.

    Thanks a lot for posting that link, I ending up going with it and paid 900 total for the cat with delivery and installation. A much better deal than the 2500 that toyota wanted to charge me.
