just the level in the overflow reservoir, there is a min/max

you can test coolant, but it is unnecessary.

you can test oil, but it is also unnecessary, and you can't look for dirt.

just change them at the required intervals and you'll be fine.

Oh, this sounds so simple lol.
Even after youtubing how to change it, its literally the same as an oil change (with some minor items)
It blows my mind how they can charge like 10x more

Yes it is simple just checking the levels.

Toyota gives the "free" 2 year maintenance deal with a new purchase.
While one can look at it as getting owners into the swing of things,
dealers can look at it after the fact and use it to their advantage.

But all in all Toyota built (for the most part) just change that oil and keep an eye on the rest, and good to go!

3 trip a day at 1 mile each? Ouch. You need to sell that Prius and buy a plug-in for those short trips so the engine never has to come on.

    Just editorial.

Also, I have that sticker, and it says 150,000 miles, with no mention of years.

Being in Canada. I emailed Toyota Canada, they said for us (Canadian owners), stick with their schedule which says to do both at 10 years or 160,000 kms (100K miles).
