Wireless techstream?

    I would like to get techstream for my 2017 prime just to pay with it and have the "service manual" if needed.

    Is there a wireless (bluetooth or wifi) adapter that will work just as well as the umbiuious usb cable I see with every kit on Amazon and ebay?

    DrewTech sells a Bluetooth version of the MongoosePro Toyota 2 interface. I’ve never tried it, but the wired (USB) version is part of Toyota’s Techstream Lite kit and seems to work fine with my car.
    Note that the only documentation installed with the Techstream software is the online help for the software itself. The Repair Manual and other service information is on Toyota’s TIS website (techinfo.toyota.com); a Professional Diagnostic subscription includes both the Techstream software and access to TIS.

    Have you considered the fact that either way you still have to plug in something? To me, the biggest hassle (and it's not huge) is just plugging in the adaptor, not the presence or absence of a cable.

    Also, the beater laptops that are easiest to score for $40 for dedicated Techstream duty are usually not the year's lightest and sleekest models.
