Eeek - weird design, never likely to catch on - like this one:

Seriously - I can't see that - even with adequate ground clearance - selling. While PRIUS buyers are willing to be a bit different, I can't see them as THAT different. Particularly with some sensible hybrids now available - Corolla, Camry, RAVE4.

I can see hints of this:

It's a show piece. It's made specifically to make the vacuous say "OMG! It's got fins!", and the pragmatic say "Ermahgerd! Ert's gert ferns!"

Toyota will then save the best features for production, and toss the rest.

Well the new style is less polarizing but it’s nothing special, to me it looks like something more bland that looks close to a Toyota.
I like the driving characteristics how light and nimble it is. When I drive my Subaru Outback and then sit into the Prius I feel like I just left a tank behind. The looks where something I always liked compared to a “Corolla Elantra civic Sentra” but never something that can be compared to a totally different class of automobile. It’s an efficient vehicle I like it but never bill live it. In the end it’s a car that will be crushed. Hopefully I get to Enjoy it for 10+ years
