Looking good. Any CA state, city, power company rebates/incentives?

I test drove this one last weekend but they did not want to negotiate price even though it was a 2019. I am working out a better deal on a 2020 back East and will have it shipped to me.

    Model/Color: 2019 Advanced Blue Magnetism/Black
    MSRP: $34,938.00
    - Dealer Discount: $1,438.00
    Sale price: $33,500
    + Doc Fee: $200.00
    + Title Fee: $68.50
    + License Fee: $120.00
    + Temp Tag: $6.00
    + Filing Fee: $15.00
    + Handling Fee: $8.00
    + Notary Fee: $15.00
    +Title Convenience Fee: $18.00
    + Tire Disposal Fee: $11.45
    =Out the door $33,961.95
    Kenner, Louisiana

I never figured out what tire they would be charging me to dispose of and the funny part about the license fee is that wouldn't even cover registration in my state.

Nice! Enjoy! Check with your utility company for any more rebates and apply for your HOV decals.

    Yep. Car too.

My power company only offers rebates for charging station installations.

2020 Prius Prime XLE in Magnetism Blue with black interior and no extra options

NOTE: being in the southeast region there were no incentives like some other areas of the country have had (except of course the $4500 Federal tax incentive)

The dealership listed the MSRP as $29,650.00 but I told them I was previously emailed a quote of $29,500.00 so they honored that.

    Selling Price: $29,500.00
Addendum: $ 1,147.00 (for extra stuff like lifetime parts warranty, roadside service, and a bunch of other stuff)
(the above was said to NOT be optional, we were ready to leave saying we'd think about it,
he got the manager who agreed to half the price, it was originally twice that much)

    Total Purchase: $30,647.00
    License and title: $125.00
    Closing fee: $458.00
    IMF: $500.00

    Out the door total: $31,790.00

We had to pay a $1000.00 deposit for them to order the car from Japan, after the car arrives (about 90 to 120 days) then we will finalize the financing at that time and the $1000.00 deposit will be applied to the down payment which we will add more to at that time.

Being in the southeast the Prius Prime XLE is EXTREMELY rare to find on any dealership lot, when they searched they found only ONE Prius Prime XLE in the entire southeast region, unfortunately it was Blizzard? white and that was one color we definitely did not want as it shows the dirt to easily, as much as I wanted Magnetism Blue I would have considered another color other than white, but since that was the only one we went ahead and placed our order yesterday.

I don't understand why Toyota dealerships in the southeast don't try to have at least just 3 or 4 Prius Primes in different color choices on their lots, as much as people try to find them I'm sure they shouldn't have to worry about being stuck with them.

    Congratulations!

Yesterday we ordered a Blue Magnetism Limited replacement for our 2018 Red Prime Premium, as we always coveted the frills of the Advanced models. I’ll post details later, but LOVE the color !

Neat, congrats to you too !!!!

I thought up in the northeast they were more easily available off the lot, I'm guessing they didn't have the model you wanted in Blue Magnetism ?

I not only like the color, but I've read a comment online that it has a side benefit of making your car easy to find in a parking lot !

How long did they estimate it would take for your vehicle to arrive ?

Since ours had to be special ordered from the factory in Japan they estimated 90-120 days.

Isn’t the Toyota cash back $1500? How did you get $2000? Also there should e a $1000 CA rebate.

Cargurus.com shows 10 Blue Magnetism Limited cars within 500 miles of my dealer, and they anticipate delivery in about a week.

Selling price (incl dealer fees) $33727
    Toyota rebate 3000
    Fed EV 4500
    CT CHEAPR 500

Net cost w/o tax and reg $25,727

They're giving us $22,800 for our 2018 Prime Premium with 16K miles (higher than book, but used to sweeten the OTD price). So for a net cost of $2927 + tax/reg, we transition from a 2 year old Prime Premium to a new Prime limited. Not too shabby!

WOW, that IS a nice deal, less than $3000 out of pocket to upgrade, congrats !!!!

When you said you had to order, I was thinking order from the factory in Japan. :)

Too bad the different Toyota regions don't work together, the dealer said they could only get a car (if available) from another dealer within the southeast region, they could not get one from another region of the country, so since we were not in a position to travel right now we had to order from the factory in Japan.

how are you guys getting that Toyota rebate for 3k? is that all Toyota dealers or just certain ones? I don't see it in any Florida dealers near me. Will it go away permanently and then come back? Trying to decide when to buy...

I don't know this for sure, but being in the southeast region myself from what I can tell it is a regional thing, and the southeast does not seem to have rebates on the Prius Prime, maybe because there are so extremely few ever available on the dealership lots in the southeast, most seem to have no Prius Primes at all, hence no need for any incentive to move cars that are not there. Also, and this is just an educated guess based on what seems to be the reason, in that states in some regions offer better incentives to the Toyota corporation to sell hybrids in their state so Toyota in turn makes rebates available in those areas. IF that is the reason then the question is why doesn't states in the southeast region offer the same incentive to the Toyota corporation that states in the other regions do which do offer rebates ?

If I remember correctly at least one dealer here in the southeast said as far as they knew Toyota has never offered a rebate to Prius Prime buyers in the southeast region.

Some states want to encourage car makes to be more efficient - those states are where Toyota offers the incentives.
States in the South have no incentives and some are even punishing hybrid owners with a tax for not using as much gas....I'm on a 12 week wait for mine that I ordered in Oklahoma. No XLE's in a 3 state area.

... and some states are convinced coal and incandescent lamps are the way to the future (who needs clean air/water?). Betting dollars to donuts that's where rebates are scarcest:

Ordered our Magnetic Gray Metallic Limited

Not terribly sure how to breakdown the price.

But after discounts, fees, and taxes in CA. The final price was $34,500
