Well it looks like gas could be culprit. I don't seem to get as much discrepancy on Sunoco gas. I do have to go to station out of the way to get it. So being lazy I still go to my neighborhood Shell station. Which gave me better then other neighborhood stations gpm.

I am currently looking at oil consumption. At the moment I have about 1.5 k on oil change useing mobile 15k 0w20 with no visible change in oil level.

Last oil I went 8k lost 1 quart of oil then 3k lost 1 quart. I'm gonna check very often to try to determine when oil starts to get missing.
I might change oil to different manufacturer.
I'm open to suggestions. But thinking royal purple maybe.

With 15000 mile mobile 1 oil level stayed steady untill 3500 miles at which time it used 1/8 a quart to 4000 miles. Which supports previous observation that something happens with oil at and around 3500 miles. I haven't gotten around to installing an oil catch can to observe if it is going through pcv system.

I just had oil cap off for first time since engine work.

Do a compression test? I forget if you did a "before" test, would be good for comparison.

Ok I finally installed oil catch can and high flow k&n air filter. First 2 tanks of gas after produced about 1 oz water and 1oz oil looking like my coffee with cream. First tank regular second tank 93 octane Sunoco
    Dashboard cons history
    Pre rebuild cons 44.0 mpg
    After rebuild 47.9mpg
First tank after oil can regular gas 47.9
Second tank regular can and k&n 47.9
    Third tank 93 octane w/can 47.9
    Forth tank regular w/can 50.7

Ok what happened IDFK suspect the rings weren't seating well with oil getting into intake and high octane cooked it off.
I did use hose included with oil can. This hose is getting crushed under intake vacuum. I plan on replacing it with better hose that won't crush.
3rd oil change is coming up in a day or 2 so I put in some seafoam into oil and gas to try to cleanup any oil that was pulled into intake.

    That's all folks.

Wait to see what happens with stiffer hose.

I've switched to Royal Purple oil. Got some pics of oil catch directly after. I didn't clean oil can at oil change. So this is probably pre oil change in can. Probably will have some oil in the line. New line and pcv valve is in the mail. IMG_20200301_124412.jpeg IMG_20200301_124654.jpeg

That's probably left over from last oil.

I have new line that won't get vacuum crushed sitting here. Waiting on pcv valve to put it in.

I've been doing research IF rebuild with boring has to happen. So I've been looking for oversized pistons. Very hard for me to find and WOW $1000.00 just for pistons and rings by DNJ. I haven't seen them offered by any other companies. DNJ P929.20 is part number if any one is curious.

Really not sure why I can find oversized rings but not pistons so easy. Really would have thought company that has oversized rings would also have oversized pistons
