    :LOL::LOL::LOL:

    Trust me, it FELT like 18,000 miles. But now Im on the cruise, headed towards Sint Maarten, and on my FAVORITE ship to cruise on (2nd time on it) Carnival Magic, it doesnt even feel like I sat 20 hours in a cramped prius. And it was cramped - my friend Jackie packs like the Princess from Spaceballs. :ROFLMAO: If you've seen that movie, you'll understand my reference. lol

    NOT looking forward to the 18,000 (haha) mile ride back to Detroit next Sunday. (n)

    I just took my Prius for a 1000km trip this weekend. I've got to complain about the stiff power steering. My arms got so tired that I had to take breaks.

    Complaining HERE will do no good.
    That isn't right.
    "Complain" to your dealer and get it fixed.

    I would feel that way in my old Gen 1 when the torque sensors were going (that was a Gen 1 thing that happened). On a long enough drive, the steering ECU would eventually say "I've heard enough of your nonsense and I'm not listening any more."

    I wouldn't notice right away, because steering at highway speed is so little effort anyway. Eventually I would take an exit, and the exit would end at an intersection, and I'd crank myself out of the seat turning the corner.

    Later generations have a different type of torque sensor not prone to that failure.
