For Southern California (i.e. Los Angeles), this is what I researched and got, as of month end Aug 2006:

Nearly every dealer I called quoted over the phone MSRP + $2/$3K (or more) for immediate delivery.

I ended up at MSRP +$1500 (dark grey, #3, no dealer added stuff)

If you are willing to "wait", then go through Costco AutoService and get connected with their associated dealer. The one in my area was selling at MSRP, but you have to wait approx 6 weeks on the list.

And, waiting isn't worth losing the $3150 Federal Tax credit (must take delivery no later than Sept 30, 2006). Toyota website has official letter and notices explaining this.

I live in the SF bay area and the same song as others here. Wait 3-6 months and be flexible with your option package and color and for at or above MSRP. Not for me! One call to Deal and Davie in Susanville and it was 3 weeks, we'll get exactly what you want and we'll do it for 500 off MSRP. They did! I'm on my 3rd tankfull of gas.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread, but Central Florida Toyota is where I got mine. IF you are still looking, her name is Courtney Kohn, at 407-472-5200. She was MSRP. I now think I could have gotten better. I had read so much on this board about over MSRP pricing. Like an idiot, I went in there, and told her that I am not going to pay over sticker. She said, "OK" too easily. I got the the new color, and got exactly what I wanted package and all. I am very happy with my deal, and the service she provided.
