I just traded in my tires on my Prius for Michelin HydroEdge tires from Discount Tire and was surprised as to the difference between dealers.

I previously bought Goodyear ComforTreds and wanted to upgrade to the HydroEdge tires due to their superior wet traction handling. One dealer offered me $20/tire trade-in credit and said that was the most they could offer on ANY tire. Another Discount Tire offered me $50/tire trade-in credit. Guess which dealer I picked???

Anyone else have good/bad trade-in stories with Prius tires?

Dealer was totally uncooperative about upgrading tires-

went to BJ's for hydroedge and gave the stock tires away

I traded directly with the dealer for Michelin MXV 4's, they gave me a credit of $50 per tire.
