    I have a 2003 gen1.

Check engine light on and no start.
Accessory battery is at 12.6 volts.
Put it into service check mode. G/W ECU OK, Panel-ECU OK, 340 OK.
    Fuses checked OK.

No codes so don't have any direction.
    Used a cheap code reader.

    Any suggestions.

    Thanks

    Not yet.
Had someone replace battery cell with Gen III.
    But didn't go so well.
They were leaking electrolyte and caused HV battery to go to battery case.
And of coarse the car wouldn't go into ready mode.
He gave up and gave me back my $1000.
Gen III battery are slightly larger and he had to tighten the end cap bolts very tight to squeeze the cells in.
I think this is what cracked cell!

So I reassembled my old battery
Check my old battery and there was over 250 volts going to case.
    Not good.
There was voltage going to the individual cell mounting screw hole.
Thinking this was the source of the stray voltage I did an experiment buy placing thin rubber insulation at base of cells and end caps.
Still getting high voltage to case.

I'm not sure whats going on.
Can't seem to find anything definitive online.

Is there anyone with some insight on this ?
