Have you measured the 12V battery from the front jump points under the hood? Is so, what was the number? What is the number measured after a 3 hour 'rest period'?

Depending on who's scale is used, 12.35 is about a 50% state of charge, so you could be getting some weirdness there. Before you spend a couple hundred dollars on new, pull yours and see if the closest auto parts store can charge it up for you.

Well battery tested good. From December 2019. Getting it charged up for good measure.

Gentlemen....I think I found the problem.
A broken plug that goes to the transmission in the back of it next to the orange main wiring. Thank god that junkyards cut wires instead of disconnect them.

first pic. On my car. See the 2 broken wires?

Second pic. From the original transmission with the plug that came off the new transmission.

good eye. I wonder if this is a connection that is mentioned in the 'procedures' you referenced earlier?

    Transaxle breather!!!

Awesome. I really thought there must be such a thing on these transaxles. I had asked earlier on here and was assured that the transaxle was hermetically sealed when you put the fill plug back in. That made no sense to me, but what did I know, so I just believed it.

It matters because it means there is no concern for minute amounts of water being in the ATF, such as might happen from having an opened ATF container on the shelf. I.e., needing to be as careful as you would be regarding brake fluid. Any minute traces of water will simply vaporize at operating temperatures and exit through the breather, which makes a lot more sense than having it air-tight.

Great work on this so far.(y)

Breather or not, Toyota does say to only use fluid from freshly opened bottles. I'm ok with that, it doesn't break the bank.

I didn’t clear them G. I can clear them with techstream? Is it obvious how I can do that? Never tried it. Don’t forget, I even forgot I had the program. Shows how much I use it.

I have no experience with Techstream, I use Dr. Prius for resetting. Sorry.

Googling UO293 talks about ECUs not communicating over their network. I would be resetting connectors that I could access.

There is one Connector that I had trouble with. It’s the one on the side of the inverter. It was really tough to get it off, and I’m not sure it’s seated properly. The gray one, on the right side, passenger side, of the inverter. Can someone help?

I also read is that same link about clearing the codes.
Disconnect the battery. Jumper the two leads together, NOT THE BATTERY LEADS.
The cables. That does some kind of "hard" clearing of the codes.
It is possible you have a bad parking module.

I would also check ALL connections. If you missed that one, you may of milled others.

I checked them again. Found nothing. Then pulled the fuses and sprayed with electric cleaner. Still same error. ‍♂️

Ok. This time I pulled the inverter apart. And I’m plugged wires to check. I think I found the problem. Bent connections in the gear plug in the front of transmission.

so if you look at the first pic. The prongs inside are bent.

second pic is prongs and plug on original transmission.
