Just past six months of ownership of my 2020 Prime limited. Exactly 3000 miles no gas purchased yet. Average MPG is 457.3.

Wow!! That's really cool. (y)(y)(y) I take too many long trips for those kinds of numbers. But I just hit 2,200 miles on my current tank. There's an outside chance I might hit 3,000 miles on this tank. Sixteen days till my 1st anniversary with my 2017. What an amazing car!!

Congratulations! I just don’t understand how you achieve those numbers! I live in IN though. I have had to fill up 10 times or so traveling to family and whatnot over the last six months of ownership. Do you just not go anywhere??

It's usually a trip that forces me to gas up. This tank started with a roughly 180 mile round trip to The Villages. Previous tank started with an even longer trip across the state to the Kennedy Space Center. If not for stuff like that, I'd probably be going six months on a tank.

I am retired and almost never drive more than 20 miles in a day. My twice weekly trip to the Indian casino is 20.5 miles each way and they recharge it for free at a Charge Point hookup.

I wonder if full EV might have been a better choice.
Regardless, Prime is an engineering marvel (more so than Tesla) and an amazing value for what I paid at the end (less than $20K after all the rebates, incentives and discounts in my case).

Only because the general public is unaware of the engineering that goes into an EV. A few of Tesla's advances would help ICE cars.

A good topic for an eternal discussion is "H̶o̶w̶ ̶m̶a̶n̶y̶ ̶a̶n̶g̶e̶l̶s̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶d̶a̶n̶c̶e̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶h̶e̶a̶d̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶a̶ ̶p̶i̶n̶ how long is gasoline good for?" At 6 months that gas in your tank is deteriorating in quality. You want the tank full to reduce water from condensation in the tank. In your case I'd burn that gas, then refill with gas without ethanol plus add a gasoline stabilizer. Even then the gasoline won't remain good forever. Consuming gasoline that is way too old can cause expensive engine problems.

The manual states to put in 20L every 12 months. Or add fuel such that 20L or more is added within a 12 month period. The gas tank is pressurised so it does help keep it fresh a bit longer.

I normally let the better half drive the car in ev for her duties and I keep it charged for her!
I drive mostly in hybrid mod.. But I must say I prefer driving the Prime via ev mode!

Someone should have warned me. That gasoline stabilizer stuff smells worse than anything and seems to get on you hands and everything else. But I did put some in the tank

I use stabilizer in my lawnmowers and things like that, but not sure it is good for a Prime fuel system! I much prefer too use up older fuel and add new fuel periodically? Maybe premium fuel if it is not going to be used for a while. That's just me however.
