CEL and no heat after coolant control valve replacement

Sounds like you didn't get all the air out of it and there's a bubble in the heat exchanger. It takes come patience and, the time I did that job, quite a bit of squeezing of the radiator hose while the engine ran.

 

I believe it can affect the heater. If there is air trapped in there, you can't get the coolant to pass throught it and offer up its heat.

Do you have a pic of how close the inverter pump and coolant control valve sit near each other? I don't see the inverter pump in this picture. I have codes: p0a93, p1116, p1121, p1123. So it looks like I'll be needing to replace both the coolant control valve and the inverter pump. I did get the red triangle while highway driving, it did go to limp mode. I pulled off and parked it. I plan on clamping off the hoses and replacing both pumps. The C0U campaign was completed in 2013, does it cover the cost for the inverter pump replacement for life? Seems like a common part to fail and the apparent redesign also fails according to the great info on luscious garage's site.

 

That's because that picture is of the engine cooling system, so it shows the valve, which is part of that system, but does not show the pump for the inverter cooling system, which is separate.

Although they are plumbed into totally separate cooling systems, that valve and the pump are pretty much right next to each other in the car. If I remember right, the bracket for one of them might be holding the other one down.
