Are the markings on the windshield wiper control arm designed to be illuminated at night? The control arm in my Gen 4 2018 Prius is unlit regardless of interior/exterior light switch settings. Thanks in advance.

it's not right, how do they expect you to find unlit controls

I don't think so, but there is ambient light sufficient. Problem is trying to understand the codes on the switch. I almost never touch the arm - push away for rear-wiper wash, pull toward for front washer - otherwise, just leave it in AUTO.

You young guys have it so easy, this lit up that lit up etc.
When I started driving, the only thing lit up at night was the speedometer and (if you had one) the radio.
Gears were all manual (stick shift) and you had to fumble around in the dark to find the gear stick each time you changed, the handbrake (emergency or parking brake), all the switches and the heater (again, if you had one) controls.

True. High Beam was a button on the floor!!! Wipers were one of 2 or 3 knobs on the dashboard - pull of ON, push for OFF. No lights for the Window Winders either.
