When I first got my 2016 Prius, I would wash it and all the water ingested in the top of the rear windshield would come out through some slots in the bottom border of the trunk/windshield. Nowadays, after 3 years, water goes in but it does not get out and as soon as I open the trunk, a good amount of water falls from the between the glass and the chassis into the area when the trunk hinges are.

Do you have any idea if there is a drain there and if it is, it might have gotten clogged with mini leafs and general dirt. Is there something that can be done to open the drain?

alanclarkeau, I was under the impression that those are just rubber. Aren't the drains the little holes in the black plastic above the marked areas? (in green)

Oh - I never noticed them - it's dark outside now - I'll have a look in the morning.

Try running something up the drain, in particular after it's been raining, everything's softened up. Say a zip tie.
