I got a GEN four Prius 4 touring edition 2016. It has 105k molds.
it was working really great and all of a sudden I noticed that when I try to do the back in parking it takes me within inches of one car next to me but leaves a ton of room on the other side. And then if I park where there are several open spaces together so that I can test it without hitting someone a Parks me at an angle rather than parking back in and straight. Now I didn’t do this when I first got the car it’s only been doing this the last couple of weeks. However I only use the parallel park in a few times in the back and parking maybe twice in the few months that I’ve had it up until this recent issue. So I can’t say that it was a fluke that did it the And then if I park where there are several open spaces together so that I can test it without hearing someone it parks me at an angle rather than parking backing and straight. but lately I’ve been iffy about using the back in parking assist because it brings me so close to another car that I’m worried it’s going to get hit.
So I don’t know is there some sort of sensor reset or maybe calibration that I could do.

Mention the year and miles in your post. Might be warranty still.

Yeah, I don't trust the car to park itself. And I don't trust other drivers to park correctly either.

So I park away from other cars and usually at the ends where only one car can park next to me. Only exception is my parking spot at my apartment, and sometimes at work.

It use to be fine still works great for parallel just weird that the back in parking comes very close to one side always.
