Just "scored" some TP from Walmart as they were stocking & Clorox wipes from Target.

We're doing the same thing starting tomorrow in OKC.

Was going to say "happy trails to you" but now I don't need to. ;)

My CFO is checking some of the older friends we have (70++) to make sure they're stocked up.
Out local Hospital says they have 4 cases (virus, not TP) but they haven't shown up on the state tally yet.

I'm still using one of the containers of Clorox wipes from the last storm scare we had (storm cleanups feature mold/dirt.)
It's AMAZING how long that stuff lasts.
I always buy my TP from Sams by the case and so I always have 5-6 rolls in my office - because the Government Issue Tissue that my beloved company buys is the "John Wayne" TP and I have a sensitive tooshie.

    So....
    No lines for me.

Just about the time people stop flopping and twitching over the Raging Red Plague it will be time to stock up on my usual hurricane stuff and TP, wipes, canned goods, etc.... will all be on overstocked sale.

Yes, but much of the restocking is done overnight, from what I can see. Of course, I don't have to limit my shopping to those hours, either.
That's what I was thinking, too. Plus the younger people who have to go to work, and there are still many of those, who can't shop before work so will all be crowding into the store right after work. Remains to be seen how it all shakes out.

mrs b came back with a decent report. a lot of empty shelves, but still a lot of food left. not always what you want, but any port in a storm.
she is going to try the 6am thing next week. i thought it was a good idea, but if it is too crowded, she will leave.

At our local Monopoly grocery store chain, they support local grocery pick-up. However they're so backlogged that no one can schedule before next Tuesday.

Next question...When do the "discussions" about TP conservation to save the planet start?

    not in my wheelhouse. Had to look him up. I saw a funny quote on the Wiki page;

So - the Neil reference represents someone whose words get twisted?
every common cold season forms a hockey stick shaped graph - as does regular flue ..... then it peaks.
Regular wars & drug war deaths too .... they grow & grow & then they peak. Same w/fossil fuel - non renewables - more users grow use - 'till we run out. All that to say - if things didn't increase a lit .... who would take note. Hopefully taking note vs hysteria can diminish quicker than it plunes.

oh i see - he spoke insensitive about murder - backlash & apologized. There IS a massive difference imo diminishing murder deaths vs pointing out a minoriry flu strain - even though regular strains create a massively larger death/sick toll in elderly. We all know that - right?
Speaking of elderly - we have a married couple - acquaintances in the bay area both in late 70's. Hubby never got checked as he felt it was just a bad cold - mild flu that he's almost over. Gave it to wife. Then they both got checked. Hers - regular flu - his is/was Wuhan corona. He didn't find it to be all that bad ..... tho it's obviously worse for some elderly.

Going to get gas, traffic IS LOW, as is the price of gas, if you know where to go! But, that would raise traffic levels. Oh, well.

My wife passed by toilet paper in one store, thinking she would get a better deal at another store...... the other store..... was out of TP.
