... thought perhaps you might find this amusing. Have a look-see, if and when you find time:

    //////////////////////

    Dear Senator Feinstein,

Just like that, presto-chango, pie in the sky, having spontaneously taken on -- not merely one -- but, 4 amino acids?

    Four!?

Key emphasis on the word, zero, with statistical certainty, there is zero (ZERO) likelihood the 2019-nCov strain could have been spawned, in the wild. The 2019 nCov strain had to have been bred, and loved, painstakingly reared and nurtured, raised in a lab by thoughtful, caring virologists.

Painfully evident, even to the most obtuse of laymen, Chinese policy community harbor peculiar hatred, of western men. So much so, Wuhan virologists cooked themselves up a germ agent specifically bio-engineered, to disproportionately ferret out men. And, kill them:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-environment/2020/03/19/coronavirus-kills-more-men-than-women/

The policy community in China sought to bio-engineer and stockpile a germ agent at their fingertips, which would disproportionately wipe-out men. But, not necessarily woman. But, before their 2019-nCov germ could be refined and perfected? A funny thing happened.

    FUMBLE!

Chinese Virologists fumbled! Gravest biological disaster in Earth history since the Pleistocene megafauna extinction, somehow China's 2019-nCov germ warfare agent found its way, into the wild.

We're being lied to. Government and mainstream media in collusion, aren't giving us the straight scoop.

Deep-seeded inner hatred of western men, but not necessarily of western women, China wants to exterminate western men. But, not necessarily our women.

Built for speed, infused not with one, but 4 amino acids, Chinese virologists enhanced a strain which ferrets out gender, delivering at least two distinct payloads, the combination affected, a steeply biased gender mortality rate.

If the 2019-nCov virus, itself, doesn't get you? The encephalitis will:

Virus can infect central nervous system | Shanghai Daily

Painfully evident, 2019-nCov was bio-enhanced, to penetrate the blood-brain barrier intact, for which to deliver an encephalitis payload. Our worst nightmare, it is now painfully evident 2019-nCov is indeed a laboratory enhanced germ warfare agent, with at least two deliverables:

How Could Covid-19 Cause Someone to Lose Their Sense of Smell?

Corona-virus arrived in Europe and North America, not by visitors, but via luggage and cargo. In addition to encephalitis, 2019-nCov carries an anosmia inducing agent (e.g., loss of taste & scent) in its payload.

The deliverable we'd fear most would otherwise be, blindness.

What we now know to be certain: 2019-nCov couldn’t be something cooked-up in a junior high school science lab. Multiple payloads engineered to lie asymptomatic 25 days ex post contraction, before insulting pulmonary, cardiac and neurological system with an uncanny axiom for ferreting out x from y chromosomes, 2019-nCov had to have been mutated by a team of elite virologists afforded autonomy, an unlimited budget, and a wide berth for creativity.

Only two possible likelihoods 2019-nCov found its way, into the wild:

a). the Dumpster Diver Hypothesis -
    - e.g., discarded animal test specimens having found their way into China's food supply; instead of incinerating their dead test animals, they were haphazardly discarded; dumpster divers subsequently retrieved dead animal test specimens discarded at Wuhan's level IV bio-lab and wholesaled them, to local butchers.

    b). the Doomsday Scenario -
    - e.g., loss of objectivity; over-sympathetic Chinese virologists, letting their pet virus out to play -

Former likelihood correlates in direct proportion to subsequent reaction of China's policy community, shuttering Wuhan's local exotic meat market.

Latter likelihood begs the 64 thousand dollar question: Before letting their pet virus off its leash, could Chinese virologists having mutated 2019-nCov, wholly unbeknownst to everyone, already have produced a secret serum to inoculate themselves, and safeguard their loved ones?

Either likelihood notwithstanding, our worst fear would be realized, were China's Virologists successful in the engineering of the 2019-nCov to coincidentally deliver an HIV payload.

We know coronavirus demerits encephalitis/anosmia kickers. Enhanced, both Ebola and HIV amino acids, what we do not yet know is, whether those infected with the 2019-nCov strain are doomed to inevitably contract HIV?

Inquiring minds would like to know: When c-suite Volkswagen AG execs were caught red-handed colluding with engineers, to cheat EPA compliance, did they take ownership? Or, duck 'n run?

Were JFK assassinated by rogue American bureaucrats, would the policy community own up? Or, bury exculpatory evidence; sanction and/or leverage witnesses?

Were TWA flight 800 inadvertently shot down by the US Navy, would our policy community step up? Or, close ranks with the Pentagon; sweep it under the rug?

If our good little buddies in the Chinese communist party fumbled, lost control of a germ warfare agent specifically designed to exterminate western men, would our policy community put its foot down; take them to task?

Or, play ball? Look the other way? Liquidate your portfolio; run for your life?

FAIR WARNING: Likelihood looms some lonesome, misunderstood Chinese virologist in a level IV Wuhan bio-lab must have really loved his pet 2019-nCov mutation. So much so, he let it out, to play.

There is danger on the deep!"

A theory concerning a possible origin story for SARS-Cov-2, that somebody would like to send to a senator, after we ... proofread it?

I hardly know where to start.

i just read a scientific article the other day that said it probably came from bats and pangolins, but definitely not from a lab

I keep thinking of The Thing... The Eighties version, with Curt Russell: one guy beavering away with an archaic computer, developing models of the transmission.

The last I saw, pangolins were looking less likely as a transfer path from bats to humans.

Somebody's just trying to make pangolins happen because they're nifty.

Pangolins are never going to happen.

    I vote bat.

There’s no evidence the coronavirus jumped from pangolins to people

"The closest relative of SARS-CoV-2 is still from a bat, the only other known mammal found to be infected with similar coronaviruses.

The new coronavirus’ similarity to both a bat virus and a pangolin virus suggests that viruses from the two animals may have exchanged genes at some point before infecting people (SN: 3/26/20). The pangolin viruses, however, lack a feature seen in SARS-CoV-2 that may have helped the virus make the leap to humans — a hint that the virus may have acquired an adaptation in another, not yet identified, animal before spreading around the globe. "

No, the coronavirus wasn’t made in a lab. A genetic analysis shows it’s from nature
Scientists took conspiracy theories about SARS-CoV-2’s origins seriously, and debunked them

"The virus’s genetic makeup reveals that SARS-CoV-2 isn’t a mishmash of known viruses, as might be expected if it were human-made. And it has unusual features that have only recently been identified in scaly anteaters called pangolins, evidence that the virus came from nature, Kristian Andersen and his colleagues report March 17 in Nature Medicine. ..."

No fuzzy1. What you are describing is genetic engineering. What he is talk bout is breeding - like cross pollination.

Now how you would go about doing it, is a whole nother matter. I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to go about it. Viruses do not reproduce the same way as higher level organisms.
